Allister Starke, PhD. (Forest Science), has 25 years of experience working in conservation horticulture, landscape construction and ecological restoration. He has lived, worked and traveled throughout most of southern and east Africa, and is now based in Durban, South Africa. He is passionate about bringing his knowledge of developing beautiful spaces, growing plants and understanding natural systems into human environments whether at local, such as a nature garden, or larger scales such as Agroforestry or Forest Landscape Restoration. He is known for his creative and critical thinking, determination and passion for sharing his experiences of nature with others. He has a broad network of mentors, associates and organisations who help him get things done.
